Do you (or a group of your friends) think you are masters of useful, never useless, knowledge? If so, come out and show off your prowess while supporting local independent theater in Lawrence. EMU Theatre will be holding a fundraising trivia game on Saturday, May 18th at 7:00 pm (sign up begins at 6:30 pm) at Conroy’s Pub located at 3115 West 6th Street in the Sunset West shopping center in Lawrence, Kansas. It will be pop culture trivia for individuals or teams and the entry fee is $10.00 per person. The winning team will receive a cash prize.

Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls it is that time of year again. The event you’ve been waiting for; our EMU Theatre’s 2013 ten-minute play festival Snake, Rattle and Role. The show opens Friday, March 22nd at the Lawrence Arts Center, (940 New Hampshire St., Lawrence, Kansas), with additional shows on Saturday March 23rd, Friday March 29th and closing on Saturday March 30th. All shows will begin at 7:30 pm with doors opening at 7:00 pm. Tickets will be available at the door for only $7.00.

That's right, folks, it's that time of year again. EMU Theatre is proud to present the world premiere of “Let My Mind Flash With Blades,” the last two weekends in January. The show features University of Kansas alumni including writer/director Dan Born, producer Feloniz Lovato-Winston and the entire cast which features award-winning playwright Dean Bevan as Freud as well as Samantha Raines and Liza Pehrson as,Hilda Doolittle (H.D.) and Frances Gregg respectively.

EMU Theatre Inc. is an independent theatre group based in Lawrence, Kansas. EMU was founded in 1998 by a collective of actors, writers and performers dedicated to mounting projects which foster a spirit of cooperation and artistic growth among its practitioners, and a spirit of aesthetic adventure in its audience.
